Nelle giornate in cui si svolgerà il G8 vogliamo stare a Ponte Galeria,

 mentre i cosiddetti “grandi della terra” saranno nascosti dentro una caserma

 a parlare della crisi. I governi del mondo chiamano a gran voce la libera circolazione 

delle merci e dei capitali, pretendendo di fermare e controllare i flussi migratori, 

mentre l'unica possibilità di movimento concessa alle persone sembra essere quella legata 

al mercato del turismo o allo sfruttamento del lavoro. 

Respingimenti, politiche securitarie e detenzioni indiscriminate sembrano essere le uniche 

risposte che i cosiddetti paesi industrializzati sono intenzionati a praticare per fronteggiare

 questa crisi economica e sociale che hanno contribuito a creare.

Vogliamo stare a Ponte Galeria perché nei CIE (Centri di identificazione ed espulsione) 

finiscono persone rastrellate per strada mentre tornano a casa dopo una giornata 

di lavoro sottopagato, mentre fanno la fila per rinnovare il permesso di soggiorno, 

oppure mentre aspettano un amico per uscire la sera. 

Puoi aver lavorato per vent'anni in Italia, puoi essere nata o nato qui, 

ed essere recluso solo perché non hai il permesso di soggiorno.

All'interno dei CIE viene quotidianamente calpestata la dignità umana. 

Non è garantita l'assistenza igienico-sanitaria: spesso manca l'acqua calda,

 non c'è ricambio di asciugamani e le persone dormono su lenzuoli usa e getta 

che sono costrette ad utilizzare per settimane. 

Ogni persona ha diritto a un solo litro d'acqua al giorno, anche nei periodi più caldi. 

Molto spesso le persone detenute vengono imbottite di psicofarmaci, 

cosa che ha portato a collassi fisici, mentre viene rifiutata la possibilità di farsi

 visitare da un medico. Persone affette da malattie contagiose vengono lasciate a

contatto con le altre, aumentando il rischio di epidemie, nell'indifferenza del personale

 sanitario e delle forze di polizia.

Chi è detenuto denuncia una carenza di comunicazione pressoché totale e le poche 

informazioni che sono disponibili non vengono tradotte nelle diverse lingue. 

L'assistenza legale minima non è garantita. 

Le decisioni sulla detenzione e sulle espulsioni sono affidate ad avvocati civilisti

 e giudici di pace, che non hanno le competenze necessarie per gestire i casi che si trovano

 di fronte.Pestaggi e abusi da parte della polizia e della Croce Rossa 

(che gestisce il CIE di Ponte Galeria) sono all'ordine del giorno e chiunque si trovi 

a protestare subisce violenze fisiche e intimidazioni. 

Solo a Ponte Galeria negli ultimi tre mesi si sono registrate due morti: Salah Soudani, 

morto in circostanze poco chiare dopo che il personale sanitario ha rifiutato di fornirgli 

l’assistenza medica, e Nabruka Mimuni, che viveva in Italia da trent'anni e che, 

dopo aver ripetutamente minacciato di togliersi la vita piuttosto che essere rimpatriata, 

è stata lasciata in balia del proprio destino.

Non è pensabile che persone che hanno scelto di andarsene dal proprio paese d’origine, 

mettendo spesso a rischio la propria vita per costruirsi un futuro migliore, 

o per fuggire da un presente di oppressione, si trovino ad essere rinchiuse in un lager di stato.

La clandestinità non é un reato, ma una condizione imposta da politiche razziste, xenofobe,

 basate sullo sfruttamento. Noi non ci consideriamo “italiani” o stranieri ma siamo tutti e 

tutte abitanti del mondo.Reclamiamo la libertà di movimento di tutte e tutti.

Vogliamo la chiusura di tutti i Centri di Identificazione ed Espulsione.

Rifiutiamo la società dei recinti e delle frontiere.

CONCENTRACIÓN DELANTE DEL CIE PONTE GALERIA

En los días en los que tendrá lugar el G8 queremos estar fuera de los
muros de Ponte Galeria, mientras los susodichos “grandes de la tierra”
estén escondidos dentro de un cuartel para hablar de la crisis. Los
gobiernos del mundo piden a gritos la libre circulación de las mercancías
y del capital, pretendiendo parar y controlar los flujos migratorios,
mientras que la única posibilidad de movimiento concedida a las personas
parece que sea aquella que está relacionada con el mercado del turismo o
la explotación en el trabajo. Expulsión, detención indiscriminada y
políticas de seguridad basadas en la militarización parecen ser la
respuesta de los susodichos países industrializados a la crisis económica
y social a la cual han contribuido a crear.

Hace pocos días fue aprobada lal “ley de seguridad”, a través de la
cual el territorio del Estado italiano asumirá aún más el carácter de
laboratorio a cielo abierto de la represión permanente. La entrada o
permanencia en los CIE (Centros de identificación y expulsión) ha sido
extendida de 2 a 6 meses, las rondas nazis han sido legalizadas, solo por
citar algunos de los agravamientos represivos previstos en la nueva ley.
Mientras tanto l@s pres@s de los CIE de Milán, Bologna y Gradisca
d’Isonzo ya están protestando con una huelga de hambre.
Queremos volver fuera de Ponte Galeria porque en los CIE acaban las
personas que han sido rastreadas por la calle mientras volvían a casa
después de una jornada de trabajo mal pagado, mientras hacían la cola
para renovar el permiso de residencia o mientras esperaban a un amigo para
salir por la noche.

Cualquiera que proteste contra las brutales condiciones de vida impuestas
por estos campos de concentración de la democracia (superpoblación,
higiene inexistente, pscicofarmacos como instrumento para sedar las masas,
agua racionada y la negación a cualquier asistencia) se encuentra que
tiene que soportar violencias física y intimidaciones. Palizas y abusos
por parte de la Cruz Roja (que gestiona el CIE de Ponte Galeria) son al
orden del día y solo en los últimos tres meses se han registrado dos
muertes: Salah Souidani, muerto después de que el personal sanitario le
hubiera negado asistencia médica (y después de haber sufrido además una
paliza por parte de la policía, según los testimonios de algunos
reclusos) y Nabruka Mimuni, que estaba en Italia desde hacía treinta años
y que, después de haber amenazado repetidamente en quitarse la vida, antes
que ser repatriada, fue dejada a la suerte de su propio destino.

No es pensable que personas que han elegido dejar su propio país de
origen, poniendo en riesgo su propia vida para construir un futuro mejor, o
para escapar de un presente de opresión se encuentren siendo encarceladas
en un campo de concentración del Estado.

La clandestinidad no es más que una condición impuesta por las políticas
racistas, xenófobas, basadas en la explotación y en el chantaje continuo.
Nosotros no nos dividimos en “italianos” o extranjeros, sinó que nos
consideramos tod@s habitantes del mundo.

Libertad de movimiento para todas y todos.
Por el cierre de los Centros de Identificación y expulsión.
Contra una sociedad de recintos y de fronteras.

Traigamos toda nuestra creatividad, nuestra rabia y nuestra fuerza delante
de esos muros, hagamos sentir a quien está recluso la solidaridad de tod@s
aquell@s que ya no quieren tolerar la existencia de estos campos de
concentración, ni las torturas ni los homicidios de Estado que quisieran
ocultar dentro de ellos.
La quedada es el aparcamiento de la parada “Fiera di Roma” del tranvía
hacía Fiumicino Aeroporto (via Gaetano Rolli Lorenzini angolo via Cesare
Chiodi) La quedada para coger el tren es a las 16:00 en la estación
Ostiense.

PROTEST IN FRONT OF THE IDENTIFICATION AND EXPULSION CENTER (CIE)
AT PONTE GALERIA

In the days of the g8 summit we will be outside the walls of Ponte Galeria,
while the so-called “great eight” will be hiding inside a military base
to discuss about crises.
The governments of the world talk in favour of a free circulation of goods
and capital, expecting to stop and control the flow of migration. At the
same time the only ways that people have to move are those related to the
tourist industry or labour exploitation.
Deportations, uncontrolled detentions and security politics characterised
by militarization, seem to be the answer of the industrialised countries to
the financial and social crisis that they in great part have created
themselves.
A few days ago the so called "security act" (pacchetto sicuezza) was
approved. Because of this law the territory of the Italian state will be
characterised as an open air laboratory of permanent repression even more
than before. The unauthorised entrance or staying on the Italian territory
is becoming a crime. The maximum detention period inside the CIE is
extended from 2 to 6 months. The racist squads are being legalised. This is
just to mention a few of the repressive norms that are included in the new
law. Meanwhile the inmates of the CIE in Milan, Bologna and Gradisca
d’Isonzo are already protesting with an hunger strike.

We want to return to Ponte Galeria because behind the walls of the CIE
there are people who have been arrested e.g. on their way home after a long
day of underpaid labour, while standing in line to renew their residence
permit or simply while waiting for a friend at a bus stop.
Whoever protests against the brutal living conditions imposed by these
“democratic” concentration camps (Overcrowding, lack of hygiene,
mind-bending medicines as instruments of mass sedation, lack of water and
negation of any assistance) undergoes physical violence and intimidation.
Beating-up and abuse from the police and the Red Cross (who manages the CIE
at Ponte Galeria) are daily routine. The last three months two dead
causalities have been registered: Salah Soudaini, dead after the sanitary
staff refused to provide him with medical assistance (and after undergoing
a police beating, according to the testimony of other inmates), and Nabruka
Mimuni, who had been in Italy for 30 years and who repeatedly threatened to
commit suicide if she was going to be repatriated, was left at the mercy of
her destiny.

It is unthinkable that people who have decided to leave the country of
their origin, often risking their life in an attempt to construct a better
future or who flea from an oppressive situation, find themselves locked
away in a concentration camp of the state.

Clandestinity is nothing but a condition imposed by racist and xenophobic
politics based on exploitation and continuous blackmailing. We do not
categorise ourselves in Italians or foreigners, but think of ourselves as
people from the world.

Freedom of movement for everybody.
Shut down the Identification and Expulsion Centres.
Against the society of fences and borders.

Let’s bring our creativity, our anger and our strength in front of those
walls. Let’s make it possible for the people who are locked up to hear the
solidarity of all those, which do not want to tolerate anymore the
existence of these concentration camps. Nor do we want to tolerate the
tortures and the state murders that the authorities are hiding from us.
We will meet at the car park of the train stop “Fiera di Roma” where
the train to Fiumicino Airport stops (the corner between Via Gaetano Rolli
Lorenzini and Via Cesare Chiodi). Meeting point at Ostiense station at
16.00 in order to take the train all together.
